Whoppa on a Whopper
Role: Design Lead and Art Direction
Brief: Create a strong visual language for Whoppa on a Whopper that works in the AR interface and when people are sharing on social.
Output: AR interface, social outputs, social elements, printed poster, launch video elements.
When British rapper Tinie released his new track, Whoppa, creative team Ben&Guy had the idea that he should team up with Burger King and use the well know Whopper burger as his stage. All designed, built and launched in a month when COVID-19 had cancelled live gigs and festivals, we knew our AR Tinie and Whopper needed to be the star of the show.
We designed gig posters that were plastered around the UK, paired back the AR interface to hero our AR Tinie and designed and animated bespoke icons using pops of colours from Burger King’s Whopper colour palette.
When people shared their intimate gig of Tiny Tinie performing Whoppa on a Whopper, their photo and videos were framed in our Whopper boarder and they could even add Whoppa on a Whopper gif stickers to their posts.
It became ad of the day in Campaign when it was released, and gave our gigless COVID-19 world the most intimate gig.
